March, 2nd
Orihuela has become the meeting point for the multiple activities planned in homage to Miguel Hernandez. Since the beginning of 2010, several events have already taken place, with many more to come.
More precisely, the activities schedule planned for March consists of shows for all tastes and ages, starting out with the Educational Trail “Young ploughman” and several musical performances by top artists such as Loquillo, who will be playing at the Circo Theatre on March 27th.
Also this month, Orihuela will be hosting the radio show You have my word with Isabel Gemio (March 27th) and a theatre performance of Madame Butterfly (March 17th); endless activities complemented by the celebration of the Holy Week in Orihuela, one of the city’s main appeals to tourists and a clear identifying feature for the locals.
