Next Tuesday will see the presentation of the “City of Orihuela” Children Poetry Awards to be held at La Lonja City Council Auditorium. Over 150 works have taken part in the second edition of this competition, jointly organised by Orihuela City Council and a a target=”_blank;” href=”http://www.faktoriakdelibros.com/”>Factoría K de Libros publishing house.
Finally, Pedro Mañas, author of “Maze city” with illustrations by Silvina Socolovsky, was announced as the winner of the cash price and the opportunity to see his work published by the Galician firm.
Mayor of Orihuela Monica Lorente, council education officer Antonio Jose Ortiz, publisher Xose Ballesteros from Factoria K de Libros and Pedro Mañas himself will be amongst those attending the ceremony, which is due to start at 7pm.
